Glenshee - adventure in the making!

Skiing in Scotland at Glenshee

Glenshee  has Britain's largest lift system, the runs extend over 3 valleys and 4 mountains to give an extensive and enjoyable variety of skiing from novice to two advanced black runs.

Beginners / Novices

Beginners and novices can gently get to grips with skiing and snowboarding on the extensive nursery slopes next to the main car park.

After a few lessons, it won't be long before you can master the lifts at road level, which opens up a much larger area of runs for novices, serviced by eleven lifts.

Intermediates

Glenshee is ideal for intermediate skiers & boarders, with 26 blue and red runs, varying from the long and exhilarating to the short and steep.

From the wide open pistes of the Thunderbowl and popular sheltered expanses over the back at Coire Fionn and Glas Maol to the bumps, jumps and natural half-pipe of Meall Odhar to the testing Slalom Race Track at Cairnwell - the choice is yours....

Advanced

Experienced skiers can test their skills on two excellent black runs at Glenshee including the infamous, mogul strewn Tiger which has been a formidable part of the Scottish ski experience for years.

Venue for the 1985 Smirnoff British Speed Skiing Championships, Glenshee's other black, on the left hand face of Glas Maol, is still as exhilarating today as it was then.

With this much choice, it is easy to see why Glenshee is the UK' s premier ski centre.

Snowboarding in Scotland at Glenshee

Host to the very first British Championships, and venue for the Scottish Snowboarding Championships 2000, Glenshee has been the breeding ground for two British Champions.

Beginners / Novices

Dink Dink (perfect for complete beginners), Plastic Slope, Sunnyside (great for improving riders), Cluny, Tom Dearg, Butchart's Coire, Trainer, Claybokie.

 Steep Terrain

With some of the steepest runs in Scotland, Glenshee has enough to test even the most experienced rider. Try the Tiger, Glas Maol or the Carn Aosda roadside flank for that added adrenalin buzz.

 Freestyle Terrain

Glenshee's plethora of on-hill terrain makes it a perfect choice for freestylers. From the natural 1/4 pipes of Butchart's Coire and the Plastic Slope to the manmade terrain park (location snow dependent), Glenshee has some of the best freestyle terrain in Scotland.

 Alpine Terrain

Glenshee has dedicated alpine areas on Cairnwell, but there are also limitless opportunities on Carn Aosda, Butchart's Access, Coire Fionn, Glas Maol and Sunnyside.
