Dalnoid Holiday Cottages and the Glenshee Treehouse are situated in a stunning location on the hillside above the River Blackwater in Glenshee, Perthshire, Scotland on the boundary of the Cairngorms National Park.
Surrounded by mountains, hills, forests and moorland, across the Glen from the distinctive Mount Blair, the self catering cottages and Treehous are in the perfect location for spotting wildlife and to explore the magnificent Scottish countryside including the Cairngorms National Park, Royal Deeside, Pitlochry, Blair Atholl & Highland Perthshire, Glamis Castle and the Angus Glens, Scone Palace and Perth, St Andrew’s and the Fife coast.
The A93, "Scotland's Snow Route" is the highest A-Road in the UK and passes by Dalnoid Holiday Cottages, connecting the market town of Blairgowrie with Royal Deeside and onto Speyside. The scenery of the lower glen is very much associated with hill farming and throughout the year you will see sheep and cattle dotted over the hillsides. In the late summer the hills and moors take a purple hue as the heather comes into flower. This is also the ideal time to try your hand at salmon fishing on the Shee Water, River Blackwater, River Ericht or the famous River Tay. The area is also very popular for fieldsports.
As part of a new initiative the A93 Scotland's Snow Route is seeing architect designed installations being build in Glenshee and then onto Corgarff & Tomintoul. The installation in Glenshee has seen a stunning view point being built at the top of the Glen.
Dalnoid Holiday Cottages are approximately 20 minutes drive from the Glenshee Ski Centre and unlike other parts of Britain, the local council in Perthshire do an excellent job in keeping the road clear of snow except in all but the most severe weather conditions.
